Please read these terms carefully before utilizing the HazeMY platform, data feeds, or route-level risk scoring tools.
HazeMY is an algorithmic decision-support tool. Our predictions, commuter exposure risk scores, and sensor interpolations do not supersede or replace official statutory advisories issued by the Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE / APIMS), the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), or the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the HazeMY website, API proxies, or commuter calculation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please discontinue using the service immediately.
2. Nature of Forecasts and Scientific Accuracy
Our machine learning models (XGBoost T+3h PM2.5 forecasting) operate on historical patterns, meteorological forecasts, and sensor telemetry. While evaluated with high rigor (R² = 0.707 on held-out benchmarks), atmospheric phenomena are inherently subject to rapid localized shifts:
- Forecasts are probabilistic projections, not guarantees of localized air safety.
- During sensor telemetry dropouts or network latency, the platform falls back to clearly marked demonstration baselines.
- Vulnerable populations (asthma, COPD, cardiovascular conditions, elderly, pregnant individuals, children) should exercise clinical caution and consult medical professionals.
3. Data Sources & Attribution
HazeMY synthesizes data from multiple reputable public institutions and open observational grids:
- Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE / APIMS)
- Global Atmospheric & Ground Station Observation Networks
- Satellite Thermal & Fire Radiance Surveillance Systems
- Numerical Meteorological & Atmospheric Dispersion Models
All respective trademarks, sensor readings, and raw monitoring feeds remain the property of their originating organizations.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, HazeMY, its authors, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of your access to or inability to access this service, reliance on route rankings, or exposure decisions made based on this platform.
5. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
