What happens to your data.

Your location

Only when you tap “Use my location” or search for a town. The coordinates go to our server to find the nearest station and the place name, and are not stored there. The last area you checked is kept in your browser so the home page can show it next time.

Saved in your browser

Your last-checked area, saved stations, commute settings and whether you have closed the notice. This stays on your device; clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

Haze alerts

If you switch alerts on, your browser gives us a push address and your area so we can send a warning. Turning off notifications for this site in your browser stops them.

Haze reports

Only what you enter: how hazy it is, visibility, an optional note, and where the report was made.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs such as IP address, browser and page, used for security and fixing faults.

Other services

Map tiles load directly from Esri and OpenStreetMap, so those services see your IP address. Google Maps, Waze and WhatsApp open only when you tap a link to them.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because HazeMY has no accounts, it usually holds none. To ask, contact the developer through GitHub.
